Medella is a homogeneous vinyl sheet floorcovering that is made of low emitting, 100% phthalate free materials. It has a uniquely embossed SMART-top surface, which provides a high resistance to chemicals, scratches and stains. Medella is the newest addition to Mohawk Group's Healthy Environments Collection. The Healthy Environments Collection is inspired by the soothing colors and textures of species native to the desert of the American Southwest. Drawing inspiration from biophilic design, Mohawk Group said the Healthy Environments collection was created to advance healing and productivity in healthcare interiors. With Medella, Mohawk Group introduces a homogeneous sheet design inspired by the naturally occurring basalt columns that are formed by underwater volcanic eruptions. According to the company, Medella is comprised of a 100 percent non-ortho-phthalate construction and coated with polish-optional M-Force Enhanced Urethane for easy and cost-effective maintenance. The low contrast offered in the products 24 colorways and the ability to be heat-welded makes it ideal for surgical suites and a variety of other healthcare applications. Medella is also suited for specification in education interiors.
