Even though retractable external horizontal louvers are highly effective in solar control on a vertical glazing surface, they are less suitable for horizontal or inclined applications. LouverShade internal and external rack arm systems (or skylight louvers), enable effective solar control for unusual glazing surfaces including those that are curved, trapezoids, circles, angled or pitched. These systems can withstand strong winds and moderate snow and ice loads. LouverShade external rack arm systems are available in a variety of sizes and shapes including rolled-edged and extruded aluminum slats.
