Thermafiber SAFB FF, Thermafiber UltraBatt FF, and Thermafiber Fire & Sound Guard FF Unfaced Insulation can provide acoustical control, thermal performance, and fire protection in walls and floor/ceiling fire-rated assemblies. FireSpan- FF is curtain wall insulation that is used in perimeter fire containment systems. FireSpan provides thermal insulation, fire containment, enhanced acoustical performance in many different tested and listed fire containment assemblies of 1,2, and 3-hr ratings. Safing-FF firestopping insulation is used to provide enhanced fire protection in perimeter fire containment systems, floor and wall penetrations, and construction joints. Safing is tested and listed in many different fire containment assemblies of 1,2, and 3-hr ratings. Thermafiber Formaldehyde-Free Mineral Wool Insulation offers a mineral wool insulation solution for architects, specifiers, and contractors interested in achieving green building standards and can be used in applications that specifically exclude red-listed items such as formaldehyde. The new formaldehyde-free Thermafiber products are especially appropriate for applications with stringent requirements around indoor air quality including institutions and health care facilities.
