Clenbuterol, is a sympathomimetic amine used by sufferers of breathing disorders as a decongestant and bronchodilator. People with chronic breathing disorders such as asthma use this as a bronchodilator to make breathing easier. In athletics, clenbuterol has also been used as a performance-enhancing drug, though banned by the IOC. Clenbuterol is also prescribed for treatment of horses, but equine use is usually the liquid form.
Applications: Used by asthma patients as a bronchodilator. Off label use is as a performance enhancer for athletes, and also as a weight loss enhancer. It has a veterinary use in equines as a bronchodilator.
