Chemical substance that is used for expelling products from pressurized containers. Used to dissolve or suspend other substances and either to expel those substances from a container in the form of an aerosol or to impart a cellular structure. Provides the force necessary to expel the contents of aerosol containers upon discharge of the internal pressure through expansion of the liquefied or compressed gas. The formulated product in the pressurized container may be in solution, emulsion, or suspension.
