Description
Chemical substance characterized by chemical stability, but may be induced to undergo rapid chemical change without an outside source of oxygen, rapidly producing a large quantity of energy and gas accompanied by a large increase in volume and an explosion, bursting, or expansion. Also referred to as a blasting agent; detonator; incendiary; or pyrotechnic.
